In 1985, two established travel industry executives, Richard W. Gray and Ray Cohen, joined forces to explore new ways to revolutionize the travel industry and to lead it into the 21st Century. Their first business endeavor together was The Graycon Group, a travel industry consulting firm that specialized in information technology, distribution, marketing and strategic alliances.
The early days of The Graycon Group were marked by the introduction of innovative products created to maximize the revenue potential from electronic channels for the hotel industry. In 1995, a division of The Graycon Group was created, Hospitality Data Services Corporation (HDSC), to provide competitive intelligence reporting. As the company continued to grow, a second division was created, Global Marketing Services (GMS), in response to the need for hoteliers to target travel agents at the point of sale.
It became clear to Gray and Cohen that the services their companies provided were integral to the success and well being of hotels worldwide. The Graycon Group, HDSC and GMS were merged in 1999 to create one corporate entity, TravelCLICK, Inc. To provide its hotel customers with a total distribution solution, TravelCLICK acquired the industry-leading iHotelier central reservation system in 2003 and furthered its presence as a market leader in 2005 with the acquisition of Vantis International Corporation. Today, TravelCLICK is a dramatically different company that is breaking new ground in distribution and marketing. With thousands of customers worldwide, TravelCLICK brings innovative technology, intelligence and revenue management expertise to market helping hotels drive revenue and increase profitability.
With over 12,000 customers in 140 countries, TravelCLICK has become an international brand synonymous with innovative hotel e-commerce solutions.
